Sponsorship Update – Emily Ruaux
We are thrilled to announce our continued sponsorship of Emily Ruaux – Stanmore’s Sabreuse! Although still only 15 years old she continues to make excellent progress being currently ranked 5th in the U17’s and 9th in the U20’s and 30th in the seniors! Emily finished a highly credible 7th in the U17 National Championships after being knocked out by the eventual winner. In the U20’s Championships she came 8th knocked out again by the eventual winner (same fencer!!) but she came very close being eventually beaten 15-14.
Having recently fenced in Hungary, Poland, Germany and France Emily is excited to be doing so well in all age groups. Her focus for this year is the U17’s World & European Championships whilst her long term ambition is to represent Great Britain in the Olympics. Stanmore is delighted to continue its support of Emily and we are confident her dedication and ambition will result in another fantastic year. |

Update on Emily Ruaux our Olympic Hopeful
We are delighted to advise that Emily our 'Sabreuse' continues to make
fabulous progress in the fencing world. She is currently 3rd on the
U17 selection rankings which was what she aimed for twelve months ago.
It is important that Emily maintains her place until December so
that she can go to the World Championships and the European Championships.
If she succeeds this would be a great opportunity for Emily to fence
some of the top cadet fencers who are on the Olympic pathway.
Stanmore's sponsorship has helped Emily to go on an elite training
camp which has improved her skills as well as paying for some entries
to competitions which earn her ranking points. We hope our continued
support will help move Emily closer to her Olympic dream. |

Stanmore sponsor Walshaw Sports Club
We are pleased to announce that we have agreed to support Walshaw Sports
Club. We were delighted to be given the opportunity to sponsor the youth
presentation night which gave us the opportunity to present the cheque
to some of the beneficiaries in person. Our contribution is earmarked
to provide improved coaching for the youth cricket team - let's hope
we help nurture the next Freddie Flintoff!

Whaley Bridge U-13’s Girls Football update
We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to continue our sponsorship
of Whaley Bridge U-13's All Girls Football Team. It is fair to say they
struggled during their inaugural season last year amongst much more
experienced sides. However they have a solid core of players and the
squad has been added to this season - we wish them well.
